Steps of Change EC2 Instance Type:
Step 1: Login to >> AWS console
Step2: Search Amazon “EC2 Service”
Step3: Select Instances >> Running Instances
Step4: First we need to stop the instance, To do so, Select the instance. ( Take a snapshot of the existing EBS volume.If the Client suggested.)
Step5: Make sure that the Instance should be in a stopped state. Lets go ahead and change the instance type.
Step6: After Stop state Select the Instance, Under Actions, Instance settings, Change Instance Type.
Step7: After Stop state Select the Instance, Under Actions, Instance settings, Change Instance Type.
Step8: Click Apply. To start the Instance, Select the Instance, Under Actions.
